Building on a sloping block comes with some design challenges and our team of experts worked with our client and their family to design and construct an ultra-modern home with raised ceiling heights and oversized bedrooms to maximise their block.

Our recently completed ultra-modern home, a Cambridge 48 boasts a distinct architectural style Nouveau facade and has a perfect balance of render, matrix cladding, aluminium featured posts and metallix face brick.
The cantilevered roof over the balcony provides clear space underneath without any supporting columns or bracing, opening up the balcony onto views of the surrounding bushland.
The design didn't come without some challenges from the extreme slope to the front of the block. The driveway was shaped to create the maximum gradient achievable. The design also included multiple varied slab levels into the garage (686mm) and ground floor living area (943mm) to accommodate the slope. This only enhanced and increased the overall ceiling heights throughout the entire home.
As you enter this impressive 48sqm home through a 1200mm pivot door with side lights & highlight windows above, you are treated to stylish modern finishes including 6.6m high ceilings to the entry atrium and 3.5m ceilings to the open living areas to ground floor. The powder room boasts a 3.6m ceiling with floor-to-ceiling wall tiles.
The extensive size of the ground floor open plan living area allowed for an impressive extra large 4.6m laundry fit out with overhead cabinetry and hanging rail below, an added luxury for drying clothes indoors.
The open-plan living combines the lounge and meals area to a first-class contemporary kitchen. Features include luxury SMEG 900mm appliances, Methven pull-down sink mixer with twin action spray and a window splashback the length of the kitchen run (6m) with elegant smoky mirror splashback returns.
